There is only one time when it is essential to wake up. That time is NOW…. BUDDHA”
It has been experienced by many that all our inner thoughts and consciousness is a reflection into the mirror of the outer world since, whatever that we experience inside our body, mind and soul is also reflected in our outer world. Positive psychology is a ground breaking approach to healing psycho-somatic diseases on the scientific study of whatever that makes us feel good, perform well and prosper and grow in life in a positive way.
In life, what makes or breaks us is our outlook and approach to right and healthy thinking. This corroborates the need to develop emotional health. To achieve this, it requires and calls for improving your inner thoughts of rejection, emotional trauma healing and by FIRSTLY loving your own self and developing the confidence that “YOU ARE PERFECT”. Emotions are a natural part of being human and a true reflection of ones’ nature. It is quiet ironical that one can feel both positive and negative emotions at the same time- like happiness and a sad state can be experienced at one go when we bring thoughts juxtapose. This is so because emotions are quiet short-lived and is a focus of some specific feelings. These are mostly associated with your childhood experiences and meories especially if one has had a traumatic upbringing which requires specialized skills of using inner child work to clean and heal the negative psycho-somatic emotions. Since, negative emotions such as fear and anxiety are much louder as compared to positive ones which are more soft and soothing in “their feels” hence, negative emotions tend to last longer. Whereas positive thoughts, feelings and emotional state of mind nourish us, help develop a happy and joyful zeal which opens up our hearts and minds. Some examples of positive emotions are- satisfaction, contentment, optimisms, feeling of love and joy, excitement, inspiration, feeling blessed etc.

This calls for developing a confidence and reiterating to yourself every time with one thought i.e., “what is good in my life today” which means develop a conscious habit of GRATITUDE..to do this, multiply the benefits of practising gratitude by thanking people around you, from your life for things they have done for you. Even if people around you only give you negativity, or take you for granted, or give you pain, you must keep thanking them, give them regard because they have added to your list of experience and to help you become more mature. You can do this by making a list of things/people to whom you can give thank you such as: Health, Work and Nature, Family and Friends and Living Safe. We can use various therapies ( such as counselling, EFT, NLP, past-life Regression, Forgiveness therapy, healing, etc) to facilitate achieving results of developing a positive attitude and outlook by giving gratitude and bringing the “Attitude of Gratitude”.
Benefits of doing this will be:
- Positive emotions get enhanced
- Brings joy and happiness
- Developed resilience and reduces your vulnerabilities
- Develops your capacity to handle stress
- Empowers self-esteem and self control
- Increases your creative capabilities and enthusiasm
Thereby reducing tremendously the various negative feels and emotions such as depression, stress, anxiety, fear and pain.
To achieve this, we have to begin with ourselves, unless we feel happy from inside, and we are happy with ourselves, we never will feel satisfied. It has been observed and seen that only happy people achieve success and they flourish in life which comes from their positive characteristics.
In the end, just to reiterate, some of the main keys to unleash the positivity and healthiness in you and bring psychological well being are as follows:
- Accept people as they are
- Never be judgemental
- No complaining or blaming
- forgiveness
- Take entire responsibility of whatever is happening in your life
- Start giving gratitude and
- Positive vibes by always smiling
- Maintain a diary with list of personal achievements and read them everyday for self- motivation
