Teens fight over ‘Haha’ reaction
Why would a man kill his friend for only responding to a post with a “haha”? However, that was precisely what resulted in the teen’s murder.
According to the Dhaka Tribune, the dispute between the two teenagers began approximately a month ago when Naim used the “haha” emoji in response to one of Sabuj’s Facebook postings, which led to a furious dispute on Messenger.
‘Haha turns deadly’
Sabuj contacted Naim on Saturday, March 29, and requested that they meet in a quiet location near Nayabil Bazar. According to Samy News, Sabuj stabbed Naim in the chest with a knife after they got into a furious disagreement about the Haha emoji.
When the locals heard Naim’s cries, they stepped in to save him.
According to OC Rana, Naim was taken to Nalitabari Upazila Health Complex after the stabbing incident, where he suffered severe injuries.
According to the Dhaka Tribune, the OC stated that after his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead.
