In the men’s doubles on Monday, Yuki Bhambri of India reached a career-high global ranking of 26.

Bhambri rose 11 ranks from 37 to 26th in the world according to the most recent ATP rankings. With the jump, he also surpasses veteran Rohan Bopanna to become the top-ranked Indian in men’s doubles.

In the most recent rankings, Bopanna, who was rated 21st, fell as many as 23 spots to 44th.

His five-year reign as India’s top-ranked men’s doubles player comes to an end with the dip. Since October 2019, Bopanna has been the number one.

Bhambri’s current run of success at the top level before his ascent to the top. Earlier this month, he and Alexei Popyrin won the Dubai Tennis Championships.

After that, Bhambri advanced to the Indian Wells Masters quarterfinals with Andre Goransson and then again to the Miami Open quarterfinals with Nuno Borges.
