Mandeep Singh, a striker for the Indian men’s hockey team, and Udita Kaur, a defender for the Indian women’s hockey team, are getting married in Jalandhar on March 21.
Mandeep and Udita both competed for India in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The women’s team finished fourth, just missing the podium, while the men’s team, captained by Mandeep, took home the historic bronze.
Mandeep, a native of Jalandhar’s Mithapur village, was also a member of the Olympic bronze team in 2024.
He was made a DSP in the Punjab Police in March of last year.
Originating from Hisar, Haryana, Udita made her debut in 2017 and has since amassed 127 caps and 14 goals.
They join Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das, Akashdeep and Monika Malik, Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap, Gurvinder Chandi and Manjit Kaur, and Vece and Jennifer Paes as Olympian couples.
