U.S. investors have successfully contributed ₹4.3 crore ($520K) to iHub Robotics, India’s first humanoid robotics business. The company plans to use this new funding to build the biggest humanoid robotics manufacturing plant in India in Kerala, furthering its goal of making India a world leader in robotics and AI-powered automation. In the next two years, the company hopes to add more than 150 jobs to India’s deep-tech sector.
By selling its Tara Gen-1 semi-humanoid robot to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, iHub Robotics has already had a major global influence. The most sophisticated semi-humanoid robot in India, Tara Gen-1, was constructed using state-of-the-art robotics and artificial intelligence technologies. It is made to work in a variety of customer service jobs, airports, train stations, healthcare facilities, and hotels, increasing automation and efficiency in these sectors.
What sets Tara Gen-1 apart is its advanced human behavior intelligence, allowing it to:
- Recognize and respond to human emotions
- Engage in natural conversations using AI-powered speech recognition
- Adapt to different environments with real-time decision-making
- Assist customers with navigation, inquiries and personalized service
- Function seamlessly in multi-language settings
Furthermore, iHub Robotics was chosen for the NVIDIA Humanoid Robotics Program in January 2025, making it the first firm in India to receive formal recognition from NVIDIA. This milestone gives the organization access to NVIDIA’s cutting-edge technologies, research partnerships, and international networking opportunities while validating its innovative robotics and artificial intelligence work.
In addition to humanoid robotics, iHub Robotics is dedicated to enabling the upcoming generation of robotics and artificial intelligence pioneers. With the goal of equipping 100,000 students with deep-tech skills that will be useful in the future, the firm has developed iHub School of Learning, a platform devoted to teaching and training students in robotics and artificial intelligence.
Our goal of Physical AI, in which intelligent robots smoothly integrate into businesses to augment human capabilities, is one step closer to reality with this funding. By establishing the largest humanoid robotics production plant in India, we are influencing the worldwide future of AI-driven automation in addition to creating robots. Athil Krishna, CEO of iHub Robotics, added, “With our expansion, we aim to generate over 150 new jobs in the next two years, driving India’s deep-tech revolution forward.”
With the speed at which AI and robotics are developing, iHub Robotics is establishing India as a pioneer in humanoid robotics and developing ground-breaking products that will transform industries all over the world.
