New Delhi, June 24, 2025 — In a major leap toward democratizing artificial intelligence, Thore Network Pvt. Ltd. has officially announced the development of an Indic Language Large Language Model (Indic LLM) under the Government of India’s India AI Mission – Bhashini. The initiative is designed to bridge India’s vast linguistic landscape and bring responsible AI to the heart of every Indian village, town, and city.

At the core of this mission lies a powerful belief: AI must speak the language of its people. With over 1.4 billion citizens and a rich diversity of dialects, India needs foundational models built for its own cultural and linguistic needs — not imported solutions.

A Language Model Designed for Bharat

Thore Network’s Indic LLM supports over 22 Indian languages, including widely spoken tongues like Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Urdu — as well as underrepresented tribal dialects. The platform is built to understand vernacular nuances, code-mixed inputs, and colloquial expressions, making it a truly inclusive model for non-English-speaking users.

Key Features:

  • Multilingual, Multimodal Interface: Supports voice, text, and image input/output for accessibility across literacy levels.

  • Rural-Ready: Optimized for use in semi-urban and remote areas.

  • Ethical by Design: Entire training process is open-source, blockchain-verified, and privacy-conscious.

Powered by India’s Own GPU Infrastructure

The model is trained using Thore Network’s GPU Credit Marketplace, a decentralized and made-in-India compute infrastructure that makes high-performance training affordable and accessible. This initiative drastically reduces reliance on foreign cloud providers and ensures AI development remains sovereign and scalable.

Deployment will occur through a hybrid infrastructure that includes cloud and government data centers, supporting public AI services under the Digital India framework.

Building the Digital Rails of AI India

Proposed use cases include:

  • AI-Powered Chatbots for agriculture helplines, e-governance portals, and healthcare access.

  • Voice AI Tools for BharatNet and PM-WANI broadband projects.

  • Translation & Transcription Engines for land records, court documents, and health data digitization.

  • AI Classrooms and voice-first learning content aligned with national education initiatives.

A Shared Commitment to Open AI for All

Thore Network has pledged to contribute its datasets, source code, and technical expertise to the Bhashini repository. It also plans to collaborate with IITs, regional universities, and state digital missions to strengthen the language corpus and extend platform benefits to all segments of society.

From the Founder’s Desk – Alok Kumar (Nikstrade)

“We envision our Indic LLM as a new kind of national infrastructure — like roads or electricity, but for the Indian voice. Our mission is to ensure that no citizen is left behind in India’s digital future, no matter what language they speak.”
