Not all superwomen wear capes. Some collect dolls. Meet Indian playback singer Palak Muchhal, who recently gave a special home tour, during which she showcased her vast doll collection comprising 3,473 dolls.

Yeh meri gudyiyaen hain, and bahut bahut bahut special collection hai. (These are my dolls and these are very special to me) The count is 3,473. The count is precise because har doll ke peeche ek story hai (Every doll has a story to tell). Jin logo ko nahi pata hai, main heart patient ki surgery ke liye apna poora (concert) remuneration donate karti hu. (I donate my concert proceeds to heart patients and collect a doll from them as a token),” Muchhal told Mashable India.

“I have been in charge of the mission for 25 years. I began it at a very young age and have since saved 3,473 children’s lives. Since these dolls are symbolic of lives saved by my concert, I keep them in exchange. Thus, it holds great significance for me,” the 32-year-old continued.

To commemorate the 3,000th operation milestone, she recently posted a number of videos on social media showing the successful surgery of an eight-year-old child.

According to Dr. Chandni Tugnait, MD (A.M.), psychotherapist, coach, healer, and founder and director of Gateway of Healing, community service is a “powerful pathway to respect.” Dr. Tugnait continued, “It shows character and fosters goodwill to contribute to the well-being of the group without looking for recognition.”

Dolls and other keepsakes are a great way to retain happy memories. Dr. Tugnait claims that they provide a feeling of self and direction, which instills hope and fortitude throughout trying circumstances.
