In a strong-worded message on her Instagram, actor and breast cancer survivor Chhavi Mittal expressed her disappointment over trolling women face for their choice of clothes, especially in the gym. “Is body positivity just about normalising obesity? Being comfortable wearing what you want and accepting yourself the way you are? And getting applauded for it? But the minute a fit woman wears clothes that make her comfortable in her skin, does it become an area for trolling?”

“Because they are too busy working their sets, gym dudes and girls do not care what people wear. The people who concentrate on these areas are the ones that Do not work out! What does that say about you, please? Therefore, stop making fun of ladies based on their clothing choices and start concentrating on your own fitness objectives! “If you have any,” Mittal continued.

We took inspiration from her statement and asked an expert why women are mocked for wearing comfy clothes, even when body positivity is praised.

Actor and breast cancer survivor Chhavi Mittal highlighted her displeasure with the way people make fun of women for their clothing choices, particularly in the gym, in a forceful Instagram post. “Is the goal of body positivity to normalize obesity? embracing who you are and feeling at ease wearing whatever you want? And get praise for it? But does it turn into a place for mocking the moment a fit woman dresses in ways that make her feel good about herself?

“Because they are too busy working their sets, gym dudes and girls do not care what people wear. The people who concentrate on these areas are the ones that Do not work out! What does that say about you, please? Therefore, stop making fun of ladies based on their clothing choices and start concentrating on your own fitness objectives! “If you have any,” Mittal continued.

We took inspiration from her statement and asked an expert why women are mocked for wearing comfy clothes, even when body positivity is praised.

Women who dress for themselves, take pride in their bodies, and go through the world without apology are not praised; rather, they are questioned, criticized, sexualized, and shamed. “She mirrors something missing in others, not because she is flawed,” stated relationship life coach, psychologist, and healer Delnna Rrajesh.

Rrajesh agreed with Mittal that women who are undergoing self-improvement, healing, or moving rarely engage in trolling. It is the people who have lost touch with their bodies, given up on their objectives, or internalized shame for so long that they are unable to react appropriately to the self-ownership of others. Being fit is not a luxury. It requires a great deal of self-respect, discipline, and devotion,” Rrajesh said.
